The extraordinary Michael Jackson sang of the 'Man in the Mirror'. While it's true that we often look at our reflection and may not like what we see, our best efforts are spent creating a pleasurable image for the world to see in our personal appearance, decor in our home, and as small business owners, our websites and marketing materials.
Do you like what you see?
Your words should reflect
- who you are
- what you do
- how you do it
And, entice the viewer to learn more. In truth, your website should be consistent, carry a theme and reflect your business objectives. Simply stated, your website content matters.
So, how do you do it?
The purpose of search engines is to deliver highly relevant search results (commonly reffered to as SERPS (search engine page results) to viewers like us, which is how Google has succeeded in securing a dominating posiition as the premier search engine. In doing this, all web pages are scrutinized so that the engines find, in the blink of an eye, a result that matches a search query and instantaneously provides the viewer with a web page that satisfies the search.
Pretty terrific, isn't it?
What's the best way to enjoy success?
It's all about content! As the old adage goes...it's not just what you say, it's how you say it! The words, images, layout, and substance on your web page will either hold the viewer's attention...or, not..
Plan ahead, stay the course...and succeed!
